Viewer's guide: Hero World Challenge tee times, TV schedule and purse

November 27, 2018

Tiger Woods and his elite invitational field head to the Bahamas this week for the 20th annual Hero World Challenge. Eleven of the top 15 players in the world are in attendance this year. The field is capped at 18 players.
For the fourth consecutive year, Albany Golf Club will serve as the tournament’s host. The move to Albany followed a long run at Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California, where the tournament was held from 2000-2013. Isleworth Golf and Country Club hosted in 2014.

The players will go off in twosomes. While each group packs plenty of star power, highlights include Tiger Woods and Justin Thomas at 12:05 p.m. ET, defending champ Rickie Fowler and Dustin Johnson at 12:16 p.m. ET, and Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson at 11:43 a.m. ET. (You can see all of the tee times below.)
Last year, Fowler mounted an epic seven-birde-in-a-row charge en route to an 11-under-par 61 to overtake Charley Hoffman, while Tiger Woods, playing for the first time in 10 months, managed to post four healthy rounds and ended up tied for ninth.
This year, it’s a different story for Woods, who followed his Hero performance by playing a full PGA Tour schedule of 18 events, plus the Ryder Cup and the hotly anticipated match with Phil Mickelson in Las Vegas last week.
Woods missed only two regular-season cuts, and was in the mix in two major championships. He capped his season with an impressive victory at the Tour Championship in September.
Woods has won the Hero World Challenge a total of five times, most recently in 2011.
