The much-anticipated matchup between Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson in Las Vegas next month will not be open to the public, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The $9 million winner-take-all, pay-per-view event, which is being dubbed as “The Match,” will not have any tickets available to the public and will reportedly only be open to sponsors and VIP guests.
The event is also expected to be played during the daytime despite previous reports that it would be held in primetime, although no official announcement has been made yet.
The event, which is scheduled for Nov. 23, will take place at Shadow Creek in Sin City. It can be streamed on a variety of platforms such as B/R Live, AT&T’s DIRECTV, AT&T U-verse, and other on-demand services. Pay-per-view pricing for the match has not been released yet either.
Fans will also be able to watch HBO Sports’ “24/7” series, which will document Woods and Mickelson ahead of the match. Bleacher Report’s “House of Highlights” platform is also expected to offer highlights and behind-the-scenes content. In addition, TNT is expected to use select content from the event in programming following the match.
