The FedEx Cup Playoffs kick off on Thursday with the first of four legs and, for the first time since 2013, Tiger Woods is in the field.
Woods is coming off a second-place finish at the PGA Championship two weeks ago. He’ll head to The Northern Trust at Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, N.J., as one of the favorites. Woods is grouped with Marc Leishman and Tommy Fleetwood for the first two rounds. They tee off at 7:54 a.m. ET on Thursday (9th tee) and 12:55 p.m. on Friday (1st tee).
World No. 1 Dustin Johnson is back to defend his title. He beat Jordan Spieth in a playoff to win last season. Players are grouped in order of their FedEx Cup standing this week, so Johnson, who leads the points race, will play alongside Justin Thomas and Brooks Koepka for the first two rounds. They tee off at 8:05 a.m. ET on Thursday (9th tee) and 1:06 p.m. on Friday (1st tee).
Other notable Thursday groupings are Patrick Reed, Phil Mickelson and Tony Finau (12:55 p.m.), and Justin Rose, Bubba Watson and Jason Day (1:06 p.m.).
