Quick Facts

  • Number of Rooms

PGA National Sweden is a big-time golf place, having hosted nearly a dozen professional tournaments in its young history. Yet, the vibe is small-time Scandavia, with accommodations limited to the clubhouse property, which while small, offer the best of Europe in terms of service and amenities.
  • Amenities

PGA National Sweden, with it’s two major-worthy designs and a fun nine-holer, focuses on golf. The lone restaurant takes pride in its unexpected menu, populate by daily “catches” and an eye on local favorites.
  • Number of courses

  • Course designers

Both the Links (2009) and Lakes courses (2010) were designed by Kyle Phillips, of Kingsbarns (Scotland) and Yas Links (Abu Dhabi) fame. Also, the Academy course, a thrilling 9-holer (another Phillips design)

Resort Overview

In 2023, much of the talk surrounding golf visits to Scandinavia focuses on Norway’s Lofoten Links, but don’t sleep on PGA National. It’s here that the area firmly established itself as a golf gateway to northern Europe, which has given the European Ryder and Solheim Cup teams more players than ever before. Some of Kyle Phillips’ best work outside Kingsbarns can be found here, in a “have-it-your-way” resort experience that’s probably best accessed by flying into Copenhagen.
