Winner’s bag: Nate Lashley’s Ping equipment at the Rocket Mortgage Classic

Nate Lashley used 14 Ping clubs to notch his first PGA Tour win.

Nate Lashley cruised to a six-shot win at the Rocket Mortgage Classic for his first PGA Tour title. Lashley, who got into the field as an alternate after failing to Monday-qualify, distanced himself from the pack with a bogey-free, nine-under 63 during the third round.

With a six-shot cushion entering the final round, Lashley closed with two-under 70 to cap off the feel-good story. Lashley’s equipment setup consists of 14 Ping clubs and a Titleist Pro V1x golf ball. Lashley recently made a tweak to his driver ahead of the U.S. Open — the change coincided with him booking a spot at Pebble Beach via sectionals — adding approximately 3/4 of a degree to his G410 LST driver to increase launch. To counteract the change in spin by going up in loft, he had three grams of glue added to the face.

Here’s a look at Lashley’s entire equipment setup:

Driver: Ping G410 LST (Fujikura Ventus 6X shaft), 10.5 degrees

3-wood: Ping G410 LST (Fujikura Ventus 7X shaft), 13.5 degrees

7-wood: Ping G410 (Fujikura Ventus 8X shaft), 20.5 degrees

Wedges: Ping Glide 2.0 Stealth (50SS and 54SS degrees; Project X LZ 6.5 shafts), Ping Glide 3.0 Prototype (60SS degrees; Project X LZ 6.5 shaft)

Putter: Ping Scottsdale Wolverine C

Ball: Titleist Pro V1x

Grips: Golf Pride Tour Velvet
