It’s a common question during tough major championships like this week’s PGA Championship at Oak Hill: “What would an 18-handicap golfer shoot?”
Now we must admit that there are a lot of factors involved, including weather conditions, hole locations and if a caddie is helping read greens.
But even with a helping hand, shooting equal to your handicap is almost completely out of the question.
But what do some of the best players in the world think?
The DP World Tour social team took that question to Jordan Spieth, Billy Horschel and Thomas Detry to see how they thought amateur players would fare. After all, they get to see how regular golfers navigate PGA Tour conditions during weekly pro-ams on Tour, so who better to ask?
