The Dell Technologies Championship arrives this Labor Day weekend, with the top 100 players in the FedEx Cup competing for the chance to advance to the next stage of the playoffs. Some players are also competing with an eye on securing a Ryder Cup captain’s pick.
Bryson DeChambeau currently leads the FedEx Cup standings, with Dustin Johnson, defending champion Justin Thomas, Tony Finau and Brooks Koepka behind him. DeChambeau won The Northern Trust last week, a coup in his bid to become one of Jim Furyk’s captain’s picks. DeChambeau narrowly missed qualifying for the U.S. Ryder Cup team by points; he was just about 200 points behind 8th place finisher Webb Simpson.
On Tuesday, the day after the Dell wraps up, Furyk will name three of his first four captain’s picks.
