Tyrrell Hatton did not have a very good second round at the World Cup of Golf in Melbourne, Australia.
Hatton and Ian Poulter, who are representing Team England in the event this week, held a share of the lead after the opening round Thursday. But Friday’s second round did not prove to be as fortuitous. With wet and windy conditions, the pair bogeyed two of their first nine holes. But their second round struggles were best exemplified by Hatton at the par-4 10th hole.
Hatton hit his tee shot it into the trees and forced his team to take a penalty shot. As a result, he took out his anger and frustration by smashing the tee marker next to him with his driver.

Notice how calm and collected the marshal stays during Hatton’s fit. This is far from the first time we’ve seen Hatton let his emotions get the best of him on the course. As funny as it may be at times, not everyone enjoys seeing Hatton’s anger on full display.

The English tandem of Hatton and Poulter would go on to make a bogey on the 10th. They are now tied for third heading into Saturday’s third round after posting a two-over 74 on Friday. They stand at eight under and just two shots off the lead. Team England is tied at 8-under alongside Team Italy, India, and Malaysia.
Meanwhile, Belgium and South Korea are tied for the lead at 10 under through 36 rounds. The Belgian duo of Thomas Pieters and Thomas Detry shot a 9-under 63 during Thursday’s opening round before posting a 1-under 71 on Friday to take the lead. The South Korean pair of Byeong Hun An and Si Woo Kim shot an even 72 on Friday after posting a 10-under 62 on Thursday.
