Viewer’s guide: Mayakoba Golf Classic tee times, TV schedule, and purse

The PGA Tour rolls on to Mexico this week for the 2018 edition of the Mayakoba Golf Classic at El Camaleon Golf Club in Playa del Carmen. The field features Rickie Fowler, Jordan Spieth, Tony Finau and Cameron Champ.

Fowler, the odds-on favorite to win in Mexico, is scheduled to tee off from the 10th hole at 7:30 a.m. ET on Thursday. World No. 9 Fowler will be joined in the first two rounds by reigning PGA Tour Rookie of the Year Aaron Wise and Emiliano Grillo. Fowler is coming off a fourth-place finish at the Shriners Open last weekend at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas, while the 22-year-old Wise finished tied for 15th. Their second round is set to begin from the first hole at 12 p.m. ET on Friday.

Spieth, ranked No. 14 in the world, will be teamed up through the first two rounds with defending champion Patton Kizzire and Pat Perez. The three-time major champion is coming off a disappointing finish at the Shriners Open, where he placed 55th. The trio tees off from the first hole at 12 p.m. on Thursday, while their second round tee time is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. Friday morning from the 10th tee.

Meanwhile, Finau and Champ will be grouped together for the first two rounds alongside Jhonattan Vegas. The 23-year-old Champ placed 28th at TPC Summerlin last weekend, while No. 15 Finau finished 36th. The trio will tee off on Thursday afternoon from the first hole at 12:10 p.m. and on Friday morning from the 10th tee at 7:40 a.m.
