Sentry Tournament of Champions Round 1 tee times, pairings and TV schedule

January 1, 2020

After a lengthy break following the fall season, the PGA Tour resumes at a rejuvenated Plantation Course at Kapalua on Thursday at the Sentry Tournament of Champions.

Xander Schauffele is back to defend his title in a field of 34 winners from the 2019 calendar year. Schauffele, one of eight players in the field who was on the U.S. Presidents Cup team, tied the tournament record with a final-round 62 to win last year.

One notable absence is the playing-captain from that aforementioned Presidents Cup team. Tiger Woods did not commit to the event, and Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy and Phil Mickelson are also staying home.

The field is highlighted by Dustin Johnson, who is making his 2019-20 season debut, Patrick Cantlay, Matt Kuchar, Rickie Fowler, Jon Rahm, Patrick Reed and Justin Thomas. Thomas and Schauffele are in the final pairing for the first round, teeing off at 5:40 p.m. ET on Thursday.

The Plantation Course itself will also be one of the main attractions this year. It underwent a face-lift from original architects Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw over the past year.
