RBC Canadian Open betting odds: Favorites and underdogs in Ontario

June 4, 2019

With the third major of the golf season, the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links, just one week away, the PGA Tour heads north of the border to Canada for one final tuneup at the RBC Canadian Open in Hamilton, Ontario.

Dustin Johnson is the odds-on favorite to win this week at Hamilton Golf & Country Club with 11/2 odds. Johnson is the defending champion in the event and has finished twice as runner-up in 2013 and 2016. This will be DJ’s first appearance on Tour since his second place result at the PGA Championship last month. The No. 2 player in the world is looking for his first win since the WGC-Mexico Championship this past February.

The second-highest odds this week belong to the No. 1 player in the world, Brooks Koepka. Like DJ, Koepka will be making his first appearance on Tour since he lifted the Wanamaker Trophy at Bethpage Black in May. This will be Koepka’s lone event and warmup before he goes for his third straight U.S. Open title next week.

World No. 4 Rory McIlroy has the third-highest odds this week at 10/1. After missing the cut this past week at the Memorial Tournament, McIlroy will be looking for his first Tour win since the Players Championship this past March.

The fourth-highest odds this week at 16/1 belong to Justin Thomas, who currently finds himself ranked No. 6 in the world. Like McIlroy, Thomas also missed the cut at the Memorial last week. Thomas is still looking for his first Tour win since the Bridgestone Invitational last August.
