Phil Mickelson shows he was ready to watch Phil Mickelson

April 11, 2020

Phil Mickelson was ready to watch Phil Mickelson.

About 15 minutes before CBS replayed his 2004 Masters victory on Saturday, he shared over social media a photo of him dressed in Masters from head to toe. A black hat with his logo — developed after his leap after his winning putt on the 18th hole that year. A white robe with the Masters logo. A golf course in the background.

“Hat, robe, COFFEE for WELLNESS,” Mickelson wrote on his Instagram and Twitter accounts under the picture, which also showed him holding a black Yeti cup. “Who else is ready to watch themselves win the Masters today?”

A few of his fellow pros responded.

“What a caption,” Rory McIlroy commented on Instagram.

“@rorymcilroy your day will come,” Mickelson responded to McIlroy, who has won every major except for the Masters.

“Next level flex right there,” Trevor Immelman commented.

“Thank you captain,” Mickelson responded to the recently named captain for the Presidents Cup International team.

Lee Westwood brought up another Mickelson victory in a comment. In 2010, Lefty won by three shots — over Westwood, who led after the third round.

“Me! But you got in the way you @&£*!” Westwood commented on Instagram and Twitter.

Mickelson liked the comment on Twitter.
