AUGUSTA, Ga. — Amen Corner is a spiritual place and special to golfers all over the world. It’s one of the most intimate places in all of golf and tucked in a corner of one of the sport’s most exclusive clubs.
It’s a memorable experience just to get there. It’s even more memorable if you get engaged there.
That’s what happened to Robert McKnight and Kathryn Sloan on Friday at Augusta National Golf Club.
McKnight is originally from Kilmarnock, Scotland, and Sloan from Las Vegas. They met on a Florida golf course nine years ago on Easter Sunday, so Amen Corner, McKnight thought, was the perfect place to propose.
He reached out to photographer Christian Hafer, who met them there to capture the moment. “It was absolutely perfect,” McKnight said.
