Here’s how to get your Masters fix (on TV!) next week

April 2, 2020

If you were hoping to watch the Masters next week, you’re in luck.

No, the Masters didn’t magically revert back to its originally scheduled plan to contest the tournament next week. But thanks to ESPN and CBS, there will still be golf coverage for you to enjoy.

ESPN — the early-week Masters’ broadcast rights holder — will air various classic final round broadcasts throughout the week. Their coverage is highlighted by Thursday primetime coverage of the culmination of Tiger Woods’ historic 12-stroke victory in 1997. Below is a full rundown of their broadcast plans for the week.

Wednesday, April 8 (all times Eastern)
1 p.m. – 2018 Par-3 Contest Highlights
3 p.m. – 1986 Final Round
8 p.m. (ESPN2) – 2018 Par-3 Contest Highlights

Thursday, April 9
2 p.m. – 2012 Final Round
7:30 p.m. – 1997 Final Round

Friday, April 10
12 p.m. – 2013 Final Round
6 p.m. – 2005 Final Round

CBS also announced its intention to air classic Masters broadcasts during their previous slots. Their programming is highlighted by Woods’ dramatic come-from-behind victory at the 2019 Masters, which will air on Sunday. Below is the channel’s full schedule for the weekend.

Saturday, April 11
1:30 p.m. – Highlights from the 1975 Masters
2:30 p.m. – 2004 Final Round

Sunday, April 12
12:30 p.m. – 2019 Final Round

Although we would all wish we could watch the Masters’ 2020 edition next weekend, having these old gems is a nice consolation prize. Get your popcorn ready.
