AUGUSTA, Ga. — It’s never too early to start thinking about Masters tickets for 2020.
Maybe you have watched the Masters unfold at Augusta National Golf Club before, or maybe you are still dying to get into golf’s holy grail. Either way, for most people it starts by applying for Masters tickets through the Masters website.
Here’s how you do it.
The application process for the 2020 Masters has yet to open, but we’ll take you through the steps so you can be ready to pounce when that time is here.
Head to the Masters tickets site here and either sign in with your existing account or create an account.
From there you select which days you want to apply for. (You can apply for all days.) Last year the limit for tickets requested for practice rounds on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday was four, and the limit for competitive rounds on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday was two. Potential patrons are limited to one application per address, and you must be 21 or older to apply.
The Masters lottery usually opens in early or mid-May (and if you are already in the system you should receive an email when the widow opens). Last year the application process closed on June 1, 2018, and lucky (and unlucky) patrons found out their fate in July.
The best part about snagging a ticket? The prices. Tournament rounds for 2019 are $115 per ticket, and practice rounds were $75 per ticket. That’s a much better price than the thousands you’ll spend on secondary markets.
Keep your eyes peeled for the ticket window to open and, of course, good luck!
