Over half the field of 132 players finished under par after Round 1, and a two-day total in red numbers didn’t even get you inside the cut line after Round 2 at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas, where 73 players were three under par or better when the round was suspended for darkness on Friday.
A handful of players will finish their second rounds on Saturday before the third round begins.

Peter Uihlein extended his lead
Uihlein, who is seeking his first PGA Tour win, lit up the course with nine birdies on Thursday. The birdie barrage continued on Friday — but not until the back nine, when he made five birdies in a seven hole stretch on holes 12-18. On the front nine, Uihlein’s lone birdie on No. 4 was balanced by a bogey on No. 10.
At 13 under par, Uihlein currently leads the tournament by two shots over Robert Streb.
Cameron Champ is back in the mix
After a quiet first-round 69 (two under par), the Tour rookie and winner of last week’s Sanderson Farms Championship roared up the leaderborad with eight birdies — including five in a row on Nos. 12-16 — and two bogeys, for a round of 65.

Now eight under par for two rounds and only five shots back, Champ is now solidly in the mix at T8.
Big names are within striking distance
Bryson DeChambeau (-10), Jordan Spieth (-8) and Rickie Fowler (-7) are adding some sparkle to the leaderboard after a second day of solid performances.
Two bogeys derailed what could have been a very special round for DeChambeau, who carded seven birdies overall — and that was without keeping the pin in the hole.
