Rafa Cabrera Bello jumped into the lead on Thursday, firing a seven-under 65 to take the lead. He will start his second round at 11:58 a.m. ET on Friday, alongside Kevin Streelman and Palmer’s grandson Sam Saunders.
Fan favorite Phil Mickelson added another stellar round to his 2019 resume Thursday. Mickelson is playing with Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka over the first two days at Bay Hill. They tee off for Round 2 Friday morning at 7:54 a.m. ET.
Defending champion Rory McIlroy struggled to get something going in the opening round, but there’s still plenty of golf to be played. He starts his second round one group ahead of Mickelson at 7:43 a.m. ET.
