The 2023 Players Championship, the PGA Tour’s flagship event, kicks off this week at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the Players Championship, including a full TV schedule, streaming schedule and complete tee times for the first and second rounds.
Players preview
The epic battle for the No. 1 world ranking continues this week at historic TPC Sawgrass. Jon Rahm currently holds the title, having reclaimed it with a win at the Genesis Invitational, overtaking Scottie Scheffler who had earned the top ranking following his triumph at the WM Phoenix Open.
Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy, who began the year at No. 1, nearly took it back at last week’s Arnold Palmer Invitational, where he finished T2. All three stars are grouped together for the first two rounds this week.
The Players is the fourth designated event in five weeks, but this one has an even bigger purse of $25 million, with $4.5 million going to the winner.
Golf Channel and NBC will provide TV coverage of the Players Championship and PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ and Peacock will stream the action online, with ESPN+ providing exclusive early coverage of all four rounds.
