The 2022 Genesis Scottish Open, the final event before next week’s Open Championship, begins on Thursday at the Renaissance Club in Scotland. Here’s everything you need to know to watch the tournament.
Genesis Scottish Open preview
Often tournaments that fall the week before a major suffer from weak fields, with many top players choosing to turn their focus to the following week. Not so with this year’s Scottish Open with new title sponsor Genesis.
For the 2022 edition of the event jointly-sanctioned by the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, nearly all of the best players in the game are teeing it up. That includes betting favorite Jon Rahm, who narrowly missed out on a playoff at the 2021 Scottish Open.
Joining Rahm are all three major winners from this year: Masters champ Scottie Scheffler, PGA champ Justin Thomas and newly-minted U.S. Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick.
And don’t forget about LIV Golf renegades Ian Poulter and Branden Grace, who are paired together for the first two rounds after winning a legal battle to play the event.
Golf Channel and CBS will provide TV coverage of the Genesis Scottish Open and PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ and Paramount+ will stream the action online.
