The 2019 Masters Tournament is set to begin on Thursday morning from Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. As the first of the season’s four majors, the field at the 2019 Masters is loaded with the biggest names and stars in the sport. (You can find a full Masters viewer’s guide below.)
That of course includes Tiger Woods, who will be looking for his fifth green jacket at the 2019 Masters. The 14-time major champion, who hasn’t come out on top at Augusta National since 2005, is looking for his first major title since 2008. After finishing T32 at last year’s Masters, the 43-year-old Woods snagged his first PGA Tour win in five years at the Tour Championship this past September.
Woods, who has the fourth-highest odds to win this week at 14/1, finished T5 in his last appearance on Tour at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play last month. Tiger is scheduled to tee off on Thursday morning at 11:04 a.m. ET alongside Jon Rahm and Haotong Li. The trio will begin their second round at 1:49 p.m. ET on Friday afternoon.
Tiger might be playing this year’s Masters, but the odds-on favorite to win at 7/1 this week is Rory McIlroy. The No. 3 player in the world, McIlroy is a green jacket shy of completing the career Grand Slam. Last year, the 29-year-old McIlroy finished T5 at the Masters. In fact, the four-time major champion has racked up five consecutive T10 finishes at Augusta National.
McIlroy finished T9 at the WGC-Dell Match Play, but his most recent Tour win came last month at the Players Championship. Now, he’s looking for his first major title since 2014.
McIlroy will tee off on Thursday morning at 11:15 a.m. ET alongside Rickie Fowler and Cameron Smith. The grouping will then begin their second round on Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. ET.
Another golfer who will be looking for his first green jacket this week is Dustin Johnson, who enters with the second-highest odds to win the Masters at 10/1. The 34-year-old and No. 2 player in the world is coming off a T40 performance at Austin Country Club last month, and DJ’s most recent win on Tour came in February at the WGC-Mexico Championship.
The 2016 U.S. Open champion has registered three straight T10 finishes at the Masters. The 20-time PGA Tour winner will be playing alongside Bryson DeChambeau and Jason Day through the first two rounds. The trio will tee off at 1:38 p.m. ET on Thursday afternoon and at 10:42 a.m. ET on Friday morning, which you can see below in our Masters viewer’s guide.
Coming in with the third-highest odds to win this week at 12/1 is two-time Masters runner-up Justin Rose. The World No. 1 player is coming off a T9 finish at the WGC Match Play, while his most recent Tour victory came in January at the Farmers Insurance Open.
The 38-year-old Rose is also looking for his first green jacket, as he’s picked up five T10 finishes at Augusta National over the last 12 years. The 2013 U.S. Open champion does not have history on his side, however. Since 1986, only three players on four occasions have held the top spot in the world and gone on to win the green jacket. The last golfer to accomplish the feat was Tiger in 2001 and 2002, his second and third Masters titles.
The 10-time PGA Tour winner Rose will begin his first round on Thursday afternoon at 1:49 p.m. ET alongside Phil Mickelson and Justin Thomas. The trio will then tee off on Friday morning at 10:53 a.m. ET.
