So you want to attend the 2019 Masters, but you’re not a member, and you didn’t win the lottery? Well there are plenty of tickets available on the secondary market, but it’s going to cost you. Big time.
This year’s Masters is just a month and a half away and, judging by the absurd prices for tickets to the event, interest for this year’s tournament is stratospheric.
There are hundreds of 2019 Masters tickets for sale right now on Stubhub.com. And they come in all shapes, sizes and prices.
If you’re trying to go the cheapest route, you can get your hands on a much-coveted pass to Augusta National for Monday’s practice round for just $546. But on Monday you might not see all your favorite players as they travel to Georgia and settle in to their rentals for the week.
If that matters to you, you can fork over twice that price ($1,125) to attend the practice round on Wednesday, which features the always popular Masters Par-3 Contest. But if only official tournament action will satisfy you, you can watch Thursday’s first round for a cool $2,200.
However, there are much more interesting (and much more expensive) options for the high-rollers out there. Stubhub currently has 55 tickets available for all four Masters rounds, and there is a lot of variation in the prices. The cheapest option for a badge is $6,490. If for some reason you prefer to pay more than you have to, you’ll be pleased to know that one bold seller is offering 1-8 tickets for a whopping $12,999. Each.
All in all, if you have the money to burn, the best value is probably the full-week pass, which can be had for as low as $11,450.
With all that being said, you should think long and hard before clicking “Confirm” on your purchase. Secondary market Masters tickets are notoriously risky. That’s because Augusta National forbids the re-sale of tickets. If you get caught, they can confiscate your badge and you’ll be completely out of luck.
