2019 Masters Live Coverage: Highlights from Sunday’s final round at Augusta National

Our Masters Live Coverage is following Sunday’s final round at the 2019 Masters, where Tiger Woods is trying to win his fifth green jacket.

Woods begins the round two shots behind leader Francesco Molinari. With storms threatening to soak Augusta National Sunday afternoon, tee times for the final round have been moved up to the morning. Woods and Molinari will tee off in the final group at 9:20 a.m. ET alongside Tony Finau, who is tied with Woods at 11 under.

2:31 p.m.: And he’s done it! HE’S DONE IT! Tiger Woods for the win! Major No. 15, and the greatest comeback in the history of sports!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS, BIG CAT!

2:30 p.m. It’s a near miss. After Finau and Molinari clean up their putts, the stage is Tiger’s. Two feet for Masters win No. 5.

2:22 p.m.: Tiger is safely on the green. Has about a ten footer he can two-putt for green jacket No. 5.

2:21 p.m.: Okay. Not Tiger’s best approach but he can make 5 and still win this thing. His mother, girlfriend Erica, and both kids are waiting behind the green. All he has to do is pitch it on the green and two putt.

2:15 p.m.: Tiger made a nice regulation par on 17 to maintain a two-shot lead with one hole to play. Brooks Koepka hits it tight on 18 to put a bit of pressure on if he can get to 13 under, but he narrowly misses. So, we have Tiger on the right side of the 18th fairway with a two-shot lead on the final hole.

1:55 p.m.: A perfect drive on 17. Tiger looks cool, calm, in control. Is this real life?

1:54 p.m.: Never a doubt! Tiger Woods, your leader by two over Dustin Johnson, Xander Schauffele and Brooks Koepka, with two holes to play, chasing his first major championship in 11 years. CHILLS ARE AN UNDERSTATEMENT!!!

1:52 p.m.: Okay, deep breath. Here comes Tiger for birdie and a two-shot lead.

1:47 p.m.: ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? Tiger nearly aces the par-3 16th, will have a tap-in for birdie to get to 14 under par AND A TWO-SHOT LEAD WITH TWO HOLES TO PLAY!!!!

1:39 p.m.: Great lag for Tiger. He has about two feet left for birdie TO TAKE A ONE-SHOT LEAD WITH THREE HOLES TO PLAY. IN THE MASTERS. (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

1:34 p.m.: Tiger is safely on the green in 2 on 15, He’ll have about 30 feet for eagle. DJ just found the fairway bunker on 18. Brooks will have a lengthy look at birdie on 16, and Molinari hits a SHOCKER into the water on 15 on his third shot. Wow.

1:30 p.m.: Koepka misses his eagle try but his tap-in birdie ties him for the lead at 12 under. There are now five players at the top: Tiger, Molinari, Kopeka, Schauffele — and after a birdie on No. 17 — Dustin Johnson.

1:23 p.m.: Brooks Koepka is on the dance floor with a nice look at eagle on No. 15. Meanwhile, Tiger striped another drive to the right side of the fairway on 15, while Molinari loses his drive to the right in the pine straw.

1:19 p.m.: Tiger misses his birdie on the high side and settles for a tap-in par. Molinari takes his time with his putt of nearly equal length but on a slightly different line. His stroke is a bit tentative and he, too, settles for par. So it’s onward to the last par-5 of the day, the famous 15th.

1:13 p.m.: Molinari and Tiger hits beautiful approaches to about 12 feet for birdie on 14. Putting contest time! And our clubhouse leader is Jason Day, who birdied the 18th to get in the house at 11 under par.

1:08 p.m.: Tiger absolutely BUSTS his drive on No. 14 to position A in the middle of the fairway, and Molinari does the same. Game on. In other news, Rickie Fowler is on a tear. He’s made three birdies in his last four holes and just stuffed one on No. 16. He’s only two back at the moment!

1:04 p.m.: Francesco and Tiger’s eagle attempts end up short, but they’re slam-dunk birdies. Cantlay, meanwhile, three-putts the 16th to drop to 11 under par. So now we have Schauffele, Tiger and Molinari in a three-way tie for the lead at 12 under.

12:57 p.m.: Xander Schauffele makes birdie on 14 to get to 12 under par and share the lead with Cantlay. Tiger, meanwhile, is safely on the green in 2 on 13 and has a nice 25-foot look at eagle.

12:54 p.m.: Just like that, Brooks Koepka is back in the mix with an eagle of his own at 13. He’s now one back, tied in the four-way logjam for second with Schauffele, Tiger and Francesco.

12:52 p.m.: Is anyone else’s head about to explode?! Patrick Cantlay just jarred an eagle on 15 to take the outright lead at 12 under par!

12:50 p.m.: A steady rain is falling at Augusta. Umbrellas are out. Tiger has the honor on the tee for the first time since … I can’t remember. He looks like he slips and loses his tee shot left but the ball somehow magically lands in the middle of the fairway. Molinari rips a beauty down the middle. Schauffele is a hole ahead, on 14.

12:46 p.m.: IT’S ON, FOLKS!! We have a three-way tie at the top: Xander Schauffele, Francesco Molinari and Tiger Woods. TIGER WOODS IS TIED FOR THE LEAD WITH SIX HOLES TO PLAY. SOUND THE ALARM!

12:44 p.m.: Tiger’s putt was more like 40 feet. He leaves it about six feet short to set up a nail-biter for par. Francesco misses his bogey save and makes double to drop back to 11 under par.

12:37 p.m.: What a change of events! Tiger safely on the green with a 25-foot look, both Francesco and Finau in the water heading to the drop zone. Holy moly!

12:33 p.m.: OMG OMG OMG FRANCESCO IN THE WATER ON 12.

12:32 p.m.: Despite the seemingly glacial pace, Tiger and Co. are waiting on 12. I guess that’s what two balls in the water from the group ahead will do.

12:29 p.m.: No fireworks. Tiger and Molinari save par. Koepka suffers a double on No. 12 to fall to 9 under. Tiger is now solo second, still two shots back.

12:23 p.m.: Tiger hits an outstanding recovery on 11 to pin-high. He went right through the shoot with a low, tight draw. Amazing! After all that, he actually has a good look at birdie here! Meanwhile, Poulter just hit it in water on 12. Molinari is on the green in regulation.

12:19 p.m.: Tiger is back in trouble on No. 11, losing his drive to the right. Meanwhile, Brooks Koepka just put his tee shot into the water on 12. Ruh roh.

12:15 p.m.: Tiger failed to make his par save, so he drops to 11 under and a tie for second with Kopeka. Molinari made his par, so he’s now two shots ahead with eight holes to play.

12:07 p.m: Tiger’s approach rolls just off the green backed up in the first cut. He’ll have about 12-15 feet left to save par. Molinari missed left, so he’ll also need a stellar up and down to avoid dropping a shot. Could be some drama coming up!

12:04 p.m.: Tiger in trouble off the tee on No. 10, blocked by a tree in the pine straw on the right side. He’ll need a punch-out and a fantastic approach if he wants a chance to save par. Molinari, meanwhile is — you guessed it — sitting pretty in the fairway.

11:57 a.m.: Well! A incredible lag from Tiger cozied up to tap-in range for an easy par. Molinari, meanwhile, has yet another tester left to save his par. Do I even need to tell you whether or not he made it? He drained it, of course, just like he has all week. So, the update at the turn: Molinari leads by one over Tiger, while Koepka and Finau are two back. For all you storm-watchers, we are currently on five-hour pace here. Projected finish: 2:20 p.m. ET.

11:50 a.m.: Random thought: we know the pace-of-play police are out in force this week — Bernhard Langer complained about a warning he was given on Friday — but where are they now? Tiger’s group will be officially out of position soon, almost a hole behind the Koepka group, which is already heading to the green on 10 after hitting their approach shots.

11:49 a.m.: Both Tiger and Francesco found the green on the par-4 9th, but neither player stuck it close. Tiger’s lag looks particularly long.

11:38 a.m.: Alrighty then. Francesco Molinari just drained another clutch putt to make birdie on No. 8. He’s now 13 under par. Tiger spent a good amount of time sizing up his 10-footer for birdie too — and made it! The Big Cat is now solo second at 12 under — one shot back!

11:33 a.m.: He’s not in the hunt, but this look at Alex Noren’s hole-out gives a fun perspective of the crazy slope of Augusta’s greens.

11:22 a.m.: And Woods now has company at 11-under, as Brooks Koepka birdies the eighth hole to move into second and within one shot of Molinari. This is getting GOOD folks!

11:18 a.m.: And wow did things get interesting at the par-4 seventh hole. A Tiger birdie and Molinari bogey bring the leader back down to 12-under and Tiger up to 11-under. So yes, Tiger is one shot back of Molinari as we head to the eighth hole. Things are HEATING UP!!

11:14 a.m.: Look at THIS beautiful shot from Tiger at the seventh to set up a great chance for birdie.

11:03 a.m.: Ian Poulter joins the club at 10-under with a birdie at the seventh hole. There’s now four guys tied for second behind Molinari.

10:59 a.m.: Tiger leaves a ripe opportunity for birdie on the table and has to settle for par at the sixth hole. He remains at 10-under and three back of Molinari, who saves par at the sixth. Finau also pars the sixth to remain at 10-under.

10:49 a.m.: Finau also bogeys at the fifth to drop to 10-under and three shots back of Molinari, who settled for par. Molinari’s lead grows as they head to the par-3 sixth…

10:47 a.m.: Back-to-back bogeys for Tiger to drop him to 10-under and three shots off the lead. Four bogeys in as many days at the fifth hole for Woods, so it’s safe to say he’s not a big fan of the redesign.

10:45 a.m.: Koepka drops back down to 10-under and three shots back of Molinari after a bogey at the par-3 sixth hole.

10:30 a.m.: Tiger has struggled all week at the par-4 fifth hole. It could be what costs him a green jacket this week.

10:26 a.m.: Tiger falls back down to 11-under after a bogey on the fourth hole. Molinari and Finau both finish with par, as Molinari’s lead over Woods, Finau, and Koepka remains at two shots.

10:13 a.m.: Tiger birdie alert! Big Cat birdies the par-4 third hole to move within one shot of Molinari and into sole possession of second place. Molinari and Finau settle for par, and Koepka is still just two back.

10:00 a.m.: Tiger, Molinari, and Finau all settle for par at the second hole, as the leaderboard remains unchanged. That’s unlikely to continue as we roll along here.

9:49 a.m.: Brooks Koepka, the man who has won two of the last three major titles, is now tied for second at 11-under after a birdie at the second hole.

9:37 a.m.: Xander Schauffele has birdied the first two holes of the day and is two-under through two. He now moves to 10-under on the day and just three shots off the lead.

9:35 a.m.: Tiger, Molinari, and Finau all open up their final rounds with par. No fireworks yet…

9:22 a.m.: The final group of Tiger, Molinari, and Finau has teed off. Everyone is officially on the course for Sunday’s final round.

9:21 a.m.: He might not be in the lead, but Bryson DeChambeau has the shot of the tournament so far. He made his first-ever ace at the par-3 16th!

9:10 a.m.: The second-to-last group of Brooks Koepka, Ian Poulter, and Webb Simpson is officially off and underway. Now just 10 minutes away from Tiger, Francesco Molinari, and Tony Finau…

9:09 a.m.: But a sight we are used to seeing? Tiger Woods, the four-time Masters champ, wearing his Sunday red. This is sure to send chills up your back.

9:08 a.m.: Good morning and welcome to the fourth and final round of the 2019 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club. With tee times moved up and groupings expanded to threes going off split tees, this is a scene we’re not used to at the Masters.
