CJ Cup at Nine Bridges betting odds: Favorites and underdogs in South Korea

October 16, 2018

The PGA Tour heads to South Korea this week for the 2018 CJ Cup at Nine Bridges on Jeju Isalnd, South Korea. Several PGA Tour stars have made the trip overseas for this early-season event. But who is the favorite at the CJ Cup in terms of betting odds?

World No. 4 Justin Thomas is in the field, coming off a T5 finish at the CIMB Classic last week. Thomas’s last win came at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in August. His odds currently sit at 11/2.

But he’ll have to fight off three-time major champion Brooks Koepka to take home the title. Koepka is coming off a year that saw him win his second-straight U.S. Open and his first PGA Championship. Those feats easily earned him Player of the Year honors. Koepka got his start playing all over the world on the European tour so that travel experience should serve him well. He’s at 8/1.

Jason Day is next on the list with 12/1 odds, tied with Hideki Matsuyama. Last week’s champion, Marc Leishman, has 14/1 odds to win. Several members of the victorious European Ryder Cup team are also playing, including Paul Casey (20/1), Tyrrell Hatton (25/1) and Ian Poulter (50/1).
