Tiger Woods tee time: How to watch Tiger at the 2019 British Open on Friday

Tiger Woods had a day to forget on Thursday at the Open Championship at Royal Portrush, making just one birdie and signing for a seven-over 78, which puts him in a tie for 144th place.

Even Woods had a little fun with his rough day. After his birdie on the par-4 15th hole he playfully raised his arms to mock his sluggish day. Woods said with the way he was playing the seven over he shot was the “best I could do.” He said he was sore after his round and planned to get treatment.

“I’m not 24 anymore,” Woods said. “Life changes, life moves on. And I can’t devote, as I’ve told you this many times, I can’t devote the hours to practice like I used to. Standing on the range, hitting balls for four or five hours, go play 36, come back, run four or five miles and then go to the gym. Those days are gone. I have to be realistic about my expectations and hopefully peaking at the right time. I peaked at Augusta well. And hopefully I can peak a few more times this year.”

Woods has lots of work to do come Friday if he wants to make the cut. He’s only ahead of seven players, one of which is Rory McIlroy.

Woods’ second-round tee time is 10:09 a.m. local, meaning he’s off at 5:09 a.m. on the East Coast. His playing partners are Patrick Reed (even) and Matt Wallace (two over). J.B.
