Pro jogs up 18th fairway to finish round in less than 2 hours

After signing for a 79 on Saturday, Thomas Pieters was given the lonely honor of playing as a single on Sunday morning at the Italian Open. He shot even par for the third time of the week — and he did it in less than two hours.
According to a Pieters tweet, he finished in 1 hour, 59 minutes, bouncing around Olgiata Golf Club with three birdies and one triple bogey. His tweet after his round had a caption that read “Make golf great again,” and he attached a photo of his workout, which included 1,333 calories burned. Fellow pro Ryan Fox tweeted a video of Pieters scrambling to finish his round on the 18th and said “I love how the scorer got a workout too #poorlady #hateslowplay.”

Pieters finished eight over for the week and in 68th place, but at least he had plenty of free time in Rome on Sunday.
