Super Bowl prop bets: Best football-golf crossover plays for Patriots-Rams

The New England Patriots take on the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, February 3rd. That same day marks the final round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Given the number of ridiculous Super Bowl prop bets available, the football-golf crossovers were inevitable. The good news: We’ve got picks for you! Check out the best betting plays here, via Sportsbook.ag and BetDSI.

1. Justin Rose final round score (+12.5) Julian Edelman reception yards

THE PICK: Edelman. Say Rosie shoots 69 — and that’s conservative, considering the run he’s been on. That puts Edelman’s over/under at 81.5 yards. He’s getting 100.

2. Josh Reynolds receptions (-1.5) vs. Phil Mickelson bogeys or worse during final round in Phoenix

THE PICK: Reynolds. I’m envisioning a clean-ish card from Mickelson, and plenty of passing from the Rams as they find themselves in a shootout late.

We know who Rickie Fowler is picking on Sunday.

3. Which will be higher:

Phil Mickelson birdies (-115)

Julian Edelman receptions (-115)

THE PICK: Edelman. Phil is making an absurd number of birdies at the moment. Six per round, to be exact, since the start of the season. He made a lot of birdies last season, too, 4.31 per round, sixth-best on Tour. But Edelman’s over/under for catches is set at 7.5, which makes this a huge imbalance. Book it!

4. Which will be higher?

Jon Rahm total birdies (-110)

Jared Goff rushing yards (-120)

THE PICK: Goff. All it takes is one run, and when desperate times come calling, Jared Goff will break off a five-yard scramble that just might make the difference.

5. Which will be higher?

Rickie Fowler final round score -130

C.J. Anderson rushing yards +100

Which will be higher?

THE PICK: Rickie’s score. C’mon, C.J. isn’t gonna go off like that; his over/under is 44.5 yards! Hope for a healthy Todd Gurley, then kick back and enjoy.

6. Which will be greater?

Bubba Watson longest drive -160

Tom Brady passing yards +125

THE PICK: Brady. No, this isn’t a lock, but it’s giving better-than-even odds that Brady’s gonna chuck it in the neighborhood of 350 yards. The guy threw for like 500 yards in last year’s game, so there’s a decent chance they’ll need him to take it deep again this year.

7. Who will have more?

Brooks Koepka birdies (Saudi International)

Brandin Cooks receptions

THE PICK: Koepka. Mark him down for six on Sunday, by which point he’ll be well-adjusted to the brand-new Royal Greens Golf and Country Club and in need of a charge. That’s more than Cooks will haul in.

Happy punting!
