Justin Thomas hasn’t won in nearly three years, but he’s finished in the top 10 in two of his last three starts and is now about to play a course where he’s lifted a trophy before. That’s why he’s Subpar co-host Colt Knost’s Fanatics Sportsbook top-10 bet of the week for the 2025 Players Championship.
“He’s finished top 10 in three of his six starts [this season]; he’s a past Players champ having won here in 2021 and I know he loves this golf course,” Knost said. “Second time this year I’ve taken him in our top-10 bet.”
After Thomas’ Players win in 2021, he was T33 in 2022, T60 in 2023 and was cut last year. Thomas is +2200 to win and +240 to top 10.
For Stoltz’s bet of the week, he’s taking Patrick Cantlay to top 20.
“A couple of top fives on the season at the American Express and Genesis, and he played a nice final round at the Arnold Palmer Invitational,” Stoltz said. “When he gets going it’s surgical, and Sawgrass is a great place for him.”
Cantlay is +4000 to win and +180 to top 20. He finished T68 at the Players last year and was T19 the year before, his best finish at Sawgrass in seven appearances.
Scottie Scheffler is the Players Championship betting favorite with +400 odds to win.
