Phil Mickelson has ‘serious FOMO’ (and an awesome TV setup) watching the Presidents Cup
Phil Mickelson isn’t in Australia for the Presidents Cup, but he seems to be enjoying (or missing) the event from his home in the States.
Mickelson tweeted a video of himself lounging on a couch and watching the pre-game on Wednesday, but it’s the details that matter here. Mickelson is wearing an American-flag onesie and drinking from a trophy while watching five massive TV screens.
“Someone is dealing with some serious FOMO,” said a woman holding the phone, who we could perhaps assume is his wife, Amy.
Mickelson took a sip of his drink and said simply, “Let’s go, USA!”

Mickelson failed to qualify for this year’s Presidents Cup and didn’t receive a pick from captain Tiger Woods, although he said numerous times he’s didn’t deserve one. Missing out on this year’s squad ended Mickelson’s streak of playing in 24 consecutive team events.
If only we could get a critique from Mickelson at this time, since the U.S. squad is surprisingly down 4-1 after the first session. Here are your matchups and pairings for the second session on Friday, which airs on Thursday night in the States.
Wish we were there. Amy and I will be cheering hard all week. LETS GO USA! 🇺🇸 🇺🇸👍👍#calveslikeadonis#HitBombs#coffeeinthecup #PresidentsCup#TeamUSA#Motivation@MelinBrand pic.twitter.com/xYEOFzeY8i
