The PGA Tour announced on Monday that it will allow players to wear shorts during practice and pro-am rounds effective immediately. As instantaneous as that decision was, the reaction from pros was just as quick.
Not surprisingly, many players took to Twitter to rejoice over the new dress code policy implemented by the Tour. It appears to be a pretty popular move among Tour pros.

Love the move by @PGATOUR to allow shorts in practice rounds and pro-ams. Time to work on the leg tan! Good thing itโs 80 deg at home.

The @PGATOUR just announced that shorts are allowed for pro-am and practice rounds. Word is they saw my Insta-structionals in shorts and felt this move needed to happen. Well played, Sir. Well played!๐ pic.twitter.com/vGCM36EoEF
