Round 2 of the Northern Trust at TPC Boston was one for the record books — literally. Clubhouse leader Dustin Johnson, who currently sits at 15-under, broke the record for the lowest score on the front nine at the club, shooting a 28. Right behind him is Scottie Scheffler, a PGA Tour rookie, who shot a 12-under 59, becoming only the 11th player in PGA Tour history to shoot a sub-60 round. The two are paired together for what is sure to be a scintillating round, as good scores are likely to come in spades.
There is another group that immediately catches the eye; the star-studded combination of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy. While the two are arguably the biggest and most illustrious names in professional golf right now, they both have serious work to do to make their way up the leaderboard — Woods and McIlroy are both sitting at T58 at 3-under.
