With Tiger Woods in the mix at the Masters and boasting his best chance of winning a major in recent years, tensions were running high for many golf fans. They wanted to see Tiger get it done, and weren’t in the mood for any spicy takes along the way. Enter Nick Faldo.
The outspoken broadcaster made a handful of observations about Tiger — including one where Faldo attributed a pulled approach Tiger hit into the 9th hole as a result of his previous back issues. You can’t blame a six-time major champ calling it as he sees it, but there was no convincing some golf fans, who staged a backlash on social media during the final round…
Tiger: "Oh, mud, Jesus Chrsit!"
Faldo: "Y'know, that might be the back issues."
Jesus Christ indeed.

Zero evidence to support this. Just made up on the spot. https://t.co/5iOElVHah4

CBS golf broadcasts would be objectively and immeasurably better if they replaced Nick Faldo with a ficus tree.

Regardless of Faldo ruining the entirety of the broadcast, these next two hours will shatter records.

For the love of all that is golf in America, #FireFaldo. Every utterance, every year, at #themasters is more biased than the last.

*Tiger misses right off the tee:*
Faldo: "Pressure getting to him!"
IBF: (provides actual, important context as to why Tiger likely ended up to the right)
