LPGA pro Cristie Kerr lost the 2018 Kia Classic by two shots, largely due to winner Eun Hee Ji’s final-round hole-in-one. But during the opening round of this year’s event, Kerr got some sweet revenge — and a brand-new car to boot.
Kerr and Ji were paired together again for the first two rounds this week’s Kia Classic. The reigning champion and runner-up were sure to provide some entertainment. And Kerr made sure of that.
At the 143-yard, par-3 14th hole — the very hole where Ji made her winning ace last year — Kerr pured a 9-iron and watched as her ball bounced on the front of the green and rolled into the cup. Kerr’s ensuing celebration was priceless. Check it out for yourself below.
Now with two boys, this @Kia #Telluride will sure come in handy for @CKGolferChic! Kerr made a hole-in-one on the Par 3 14th during the opening round of the 2019 @lpgakiaclassic.

But Kerr didn’t walk away from the hole with only memories.
Her ace also won her the 2020 Kia Telluride parked on the side of the hole. Here’s a clip of Kerr getting the keys to her new whip.

Cristie Kerr has accumulated an impressive haul of 20 LPGA Tour wins over the course of her lengthy pro career, including two majors. Her last win came in 2017 at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia.
Despite the hole-in-one, Kerr finished her round with a two-over 74, leaving her nine shots out of the lead. But that’s just fine for the 41-year-old mother of two, who now has a new vehicle for her growing family.
