The 2022 CJ Cup in South Carolina kicks off on Thursday with the first round at Congaree Golf Club. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 1 on TV or online.

Previewing Round 1

One PGA Tour star in particular has been giving golf fans something to watch early in the new season: Rickie Fowler. Fowler has struggled for years, with his last victory coming at the 2019 WM Phoenix Open, but so far this season, he has been regularly threatening to end his lengthy winless drought.

Fowler finished T6 at the Fortinet Championship, and then nearly pulled off a win at last week’s Zozo Championship, eventually settling for a T2 finish. Now Fowler will continue his comeback quest at the CJ Cup, where he recorded his best finish last season, a T3.

But Fowler will have to contend with the strongest field so far this year, which includes the player who took home the CJ Cup trophy last year, along with the FedEx Cup title: World No. 2 Rory McIlroy.

Fowler and McIlroy will play the first round together with rising star Tom Kim. They tee off on Thursday at 10:20 a.m. ET.

You can watch TV coverage of the first round on Golf Channel beginning at 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon, or stream the action via Golfchannel.com and NBCSports.com.
