The 2023 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am is forging ahead this weekend, with the final round on the Monterey Peninsula. Here’s what you need to know to watch Round 4 on TV or online.
Final round begins Sunday
The Pro-Am format is getting tested this weekend, as wicked wind conditions forced officials to suspend the tournament Saturday afternoon. Conditions were playable at Pebble Beach’s main course, but the 9th green at Monterey Peninsula Country Club was cut so short. that the excessive winds kept balls from staying still on the putting surface.
Players were treated like yo-yos for a bit of Saturday afternoon. With about two hours of play needed to finish the third round, officials kept the practice range open throughout the afternoon, updating players of the return-to-play scenarios every half hour. Eventually, they had no choice but to call it for the day.
So Sunday could be a long one for those in the field who will make the 54-hole cut. A number of pros WD’d once Saturday’s play extended into Sunday morning. That’s good news for us golf fans, though. More golf! Also, amateurs will not be playing the final round, so your TV broadcast will not be making any errant turns toward a 10-handicap. It’ll be all pros all over your TV screen.
