Pros, legends take to Wimbledon before The Open Championship

July 13, 2019

It’s been Wimbledon Week in the golf world. With the Open Championship beginning next week in neighboring Northern Ireland, many figureheads from the golf world paid a visit to the All England Club for the tennis major.

It began with the European Ryder Cup team doing their best Men in Black impersonation. You had captain Thomas Bjorn, Lee Westwood, Sergio Garcia, Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, Francesco Molinari, even former Ryder Cupper Danny Willett.

It wasn’t the first time we’ve seen Garcia at Wimbledon. Just two years ago, he sported his Masters Champion green jacket. Willett did the same thing the year prior. So, where the heck is Tiger? Well, TW actually attended the event last year.

Also spotted at the All England Club were legends Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Laura Davies.

But taking the cake for the golf crowd at Wimbledon was none other than Jon Rahm. And thanks to Thomas Pieters sharing a picture on Twitter, the golf world had its way with Rahm on the social network.

Rahm’s getup was…uh…questioned by many. We’ll leave it at that. Later on, during the epic Rafa Nadal-Roger Federer, Bryson DeChambeau made his presence clear on Instagram.

For those keeping track at home, that’s four current top 10 players. Who will show up for the final Sunday? You’ll just have to tune in to find out.
