WATCH: Golfer drains 100-foot putt to win $25K
The PlayGolfMyrtleBeach.com World Amateur is the largest event of its kind. Each year, over 3,000 players from around the globe converge to compete over 72 holes of net stroke play on over 60 golf courses in the Myrtle Beach, S.C. area.
And after each day of golf, participants gather in what is billed as the world’s largest 19th hole, which offers a multitude of food and drink serving stations, nightly entertainment and celebrity guests.
This year’s 19th hole also offered an enticing challenge: Make a 100-foot putt and win $25,000.
Silvia Rosenberger of Breman, Germany, decided to give it a shot. Surrounded on all sides by an eager gallery, Rosenberger hit a perfect right-to-left breaking putt … and drained it!

Golf Channel personalities Damon Hack and Charlie Rymer were on on hand as commentators. As you can see in the video above, when the putt goes in, everyone goes nuts, Hack embraces Rosenberger, and Rosenberger takes a high-five victory lap.
“That’s better than breaking 80!” Rymer remarks. Indeed!
