Luke List joked about it to a friend. A thought had at least crossed his mind.

He was playing this week’s Genesis Invitational. And so was Tiger Woods. And List is a Tiger Woods fan. And maaaaybe he’d check his phone at some point to see where Woods was. And maaaaybe he’d try to figure out a way to get in the same pairing as Woods.

“Yeah, I joked with my buddy the other day,” List said. “I was like, I’m gonna pull out my phone and see where he is on the cut because I’ve never played with him in a tournament so like that would be just a dream come true to play with him someday. And if it works out, great.

“Just everybody always buzzing when he’s around and playing in the field, it makes the tournament better, it makes the fans more energetic and we’re all excited to have him out here.”

Unfortunately for List, Woods withdrew during Friday’s second round due to illness. But the frustration is likely gone.

One-point-eight million bucks can cure a lot of ills. The money was List’s prize for tying for second.

With that, here is a complete list of the 2024 Genesis Invitational payouts for all 51 players who made the cut. The total purse is $20 million.
