FedEx Cup money: Here’s how much money every player made at the FedEx Cup finale
On Sunday night at the Tour Championship, Rory McIroy blitzed the field to win his second career FedEx Cup, and with the win came a record prize of 15 million dollars. But McIlroy wasn’t the only one with a healthy payday at East Lake. Xander Schauffele finished in second place, four shots back, to secure $5 million of his own.
It was a thrilling setup for the finale, with the game’s two hottest players, McIlroy and Koepka, going head to head in the final pairing. Although the drama of the result itself fizzled as McIlroy took advantage of some good fortune and made birdies while Koepka made bogeys. In the end, there was no doubt that a deserving champion lifted the trophy at the end of the evening in Atlanta.
