These are the five best golfers in the NBA

November 2, 2019

The Big Four — MLB, NFL, NBA AND NHL — are stocked with natural talent. They have their share of on-course ballers, too. Makes sense. Athletic moves across all sports show up in the golf swing. Here are the five best golfers in the NBA.

1. STEPHEN CURRY
31, G, Golden State Warriors
Low: +1.5; current: 0.2
California GC, South San Francisco, Calif.

Curry’s prowess on the courts and on the course is well-documented. He’s one of the most visible celebrity figures in the world of golf today, competing alongside the world’s top players on sponsor’s exemptions as well as curating his own signature line of Under Armour golf apparel and announcing a partnership to create the first-ever golf team at Howard University. He is far and away the best active-player golfer in the league.

2. KYLE KORVER
38, SG/SF, Milwaukee Bucks
4.0 (reported)

Korver’s time on the course has been limited since the births of his three children, but he has been known to host both full-day tournaments and mini golf events to fundraise for his foundation, which contributes to many philanthropic causes.

3. MIKE CONLEY, JR.
32, PG, Utah Jazz,
7.0 (reported)

Conley is reportedly an avid golfer in the offseason, and recorded a fun video with Troy Merritt back in 2015.

4. KENT BAZEMORE
30, SG/SF, Portland Trail Blazers
Low: 7.6; current: 9.3
Hawks Ridge GC, Ball Ground, Ga.

You can find plenty of golf fodder on Bazemore’s Instagram, and it’s little wonder that he maintains a single-digit handicap with a swing like this. (See below.)

5. CHRIS PAUL
34, PG, Oklahoma City Thunder
Low: 13.6; current: 13.8
Sherwood CC, Thousand Oaks, Calif.

Paul hosted the Baha Mar Showdown alongside Aaron Rodgers earlier this year, an event which pitted golfers from the NBA against golfers from the NFL. Paul also played alongside Tiger Woods at the Wyndham Championship pro-am back in 2015.
