While the PGA Tour season has already begun anew, the European tour season pushes on, this week at Walton Heath for the British Masters. England’s very own Eddie Pepperell is out front entering the final round.
Pepperell fired a 71 Saturday, featuring one birdie, one eagle and just two bogeys to hold himself atop the leaderboard. He has a three shot lead over Jordan Smith, Julian Suri, Julien Guerrier and Alexander Bjork.
New shafts working well
Pepperell was interviewed Saturday mid-round and one of the topics that arose were his new shafts. He had recently played with a differently shafted 6-iron. Why play with one club that has a different shaft? Well, the move was simple, classic Pepperell. We’ll let him explain.
Three shots clear.
