Special Arnold Palmer postage stamp to be released in 2020

October 22, 2019

Arnold Palmer is never far from golfers’ minds. He shaped the very fabric of the game as we know it. And now, he’s getting a postage stamp.

The United States Postal Service announced on Tuesday that Arnold Palmer will be included among the 2020 stamp program, honoring his legacy and impact on the game. According to the USPS’ official statement:

“With drive and charisma, he helped transform a game once seen as a pastime for the elite into a sport enjoyed by the masses.”

Palmer’s stamp will feature an image of him from the 1964 U.S. Open and will be given the “forever” label, which means it can be used for First Class Mail. The stamp hasn’t gone on sale yet, but it will shortly. You can head to your local post office to buy one, or online at www.usups.com/shop
