The 7 best golf fashion moments of 2019
As we wrap up 2019, it feels appropriate to reflect upon the golf fashion year that was: From untucked button-ups to hoodies and joggers doubling on-course apparel, golfwear has never been more accessibly casual, and it certainly showed when it came to what you saw the world’s best players sporting on TV.

Though Tommy Fleetwood wasn’t the only Nike athlete who sported this polarizing polo at the British Open, his stellar play gave the shirt ample air time — and elicited plenty of negative social media feedback. But the Englishman was unfazed. “I personally like it,” Fleetwood said. “I’ve got more comments than I thought, actually, so maybe I have a bit too much of a colorful style because I just thought it was normal.”

Rickie Fowler made some social media waves in Hawaii last year when he donned a surf-inspired, untucked button-up at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, and decided to give the look a second try at this year’s Farmers Insurance Open as a showcase for his longtime sponsor, Puma’s, “Play Loose” collection.

As if it wasn’t cool enough that Tiger Woods shocked the world by winning his fifth Masters in April, the Big Cat did it while wearing his iconic Nike mockneck — a nod to his epic victory at Augusta in 2005. While the mock’s on-course appropriateness was argued at the time of its debut way back when, it has since been embraced, and we can’t imagine a more fitting look for Woods’ 15th major win.
