Thirty-two-year-old Belgian pro Thomas Detry is still seeking his maiden PGA Tour victory — and he’s in prime position to make this week the one.
Detry holds a two-shot lead at the WM Phoenix Open halfway point at 12 under par. Alex Smalley and Michael Kim (both -10) are his closest competitors, followed by Tom Kim, Jordan Spieth and Christiaan Bezuidenhout at nine under.
Also lurking: two-time WM Phoenix Open champ and World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who is five shots back at seven under par.
Detry will start his third round at 1:12 p.m. ET alongside Alex Smalley and Michael Kim.
