The 2025 U.S. Open hits the weekend on Saturday with the third round at iconic Oakmont. Full U.S. Open tee times for Saturday’s third round won’t be determined until after the end of Round 2. Once they are released, they will be reproduced at the bottom of this post. Until then, we can make a good estimation of what the Saturday tee times will be.
Predicting Round 3 times
UPDATE: Round 2 was suspended due to severe weather at 8:15 p.m. ET Friday evening. U.S. Open officials announced that the players remaining on the course would return Saturday morning to complete their second rounds beginning at 7:30 a.m. ET. Round 3 tee times will not be determined until their rounds are complete early Saturday, but they are expected to fall between 9 a.m. ET and 3:30 p.m. ET.
Round 2 will resume at 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning following today’s suspension due to weather.⁰⁰Round 3 will be played in groups of two off of No. 1. Tee times will run from approximately 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Third-round tee times for the U.S. Open are determined based on players’ positions on the leaderboard after Round 2.
Once the final putt drops Saturday morning, players who missed the cut will head home, while the survivors will be placed in two-player pairings for Round 3. Those who narrowly made the cut will tee off first Saturday morning. The leaders will tee off in the final pairings in the afternoon.
That’s the reason we won’t know the official tee times for the third round until late Friday night, after tournament organizers determine them. Nor will we know which players will occupy the final pairing. But we can look to the past to make an estimation of when they’ll tee off.
