The 2025 Travelers Championship begins Thursday, June 19, with the opening round at TPC River Highlands. You can find full Travelers Championship tee times for Thursday’s first round at the bottom of this post.
It’s been a rockey few months for World No. 2 Rory McIlroy. McIlroy began the season on fire. He won his first PGA Tour start at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a Signature Event, then won the Players Championship in March.
In April, he finished off his lifelong dream of winning the career Grand Slam at the Masters.
But since then, McIlroy has not been himself, playing poorly on the course and often refusing to talk to the media. He finished T47 at the PGA Championship, missed the cut at the RBC Canadian Open, then never was a factor at last week’s U.S. Open.
Now he’ll try to get back into the form he found early in the season at the Travelers Championship, which is another Signature Event.
As the final elevated event of the year unfolds in Connecticut, experts weigh in on the challenges of hedging bets and highlight potential sleeper picks. With a focus on past performances and current form, the conversation centers around key players like Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy.
McIlroy will begin his opening round at 10:35 a.m. ET alongside 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley.
You can watch Thursday’s first round of the Travelers Championship from 3-6 p.m. ET on Golf Channel. You can also stream exclusive online coverage via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ beginning at 7:30 a.m. ET on Thursday.
