The Sentry is the first of eight Signature Events in the 2025 PGA Tour season, and features the top 60 players in the FedEx Cup ranking from 2024. There will be one glaring empty spot in the field, though: Scottie Scheffler will miss the first few weeks of the season after suffering a puncture wound in his palm over the holidays.
Even without the World No. 1, though, the Sentry field is packing plenty of star power. Two-time major champion Xander Schauffele is sure to be a big draw. Will he continue the positive momentum he displayed throughout the second half of 2024? We’ll find out soon. Schauffele will play alongside Wyndham Clark and Ludvig Aberg in Round 1 starting at 2:33 p.m. ET.
You can watch Thursday’s opening round of the 2025 Sentry from 6-10 p.m. ET on Golf Channel. You can also stream featured group coverage on ESPN+ from 12:30-10 p.m. ET.
