The 2025 Open Championship resumes on Saturday with the third round at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland. Open Championship tee times for Saturday’s third round won’t be determined until the end of Round 2. Once they are released they will be reproduced at the bottom of this post. For now, we can estimate what the Round 3 tee times will be.
Predicting Round 3 Open tee times
We won’t know official Saturday tee times for this week’s Open until after the final putt drops Friday evening. That’s because once Round 2 is over, the cut will be made, and only then can tee times be determined.
What we do know is that the players who make the cut will play the third round in pairings of two players based on leaderboard position. The leaders will tee off last Saturday afternoon, with the players who narrowly made the cut opening the round in the early morning.

We can also look to the past get an idea of what the Round 3 tee times will be. On Saturday at the 2019 Open Championship, the last time the event was played at Royal Portrush, Paul Waring opened the action at 4:35 a.m. ET, with eventual winner Shane Lowry and J.B. Holmes teeing off in the final pairing at 10:10 a.m. ET.
We can expect Saturday tee times for the 2025 Open to fall into a similar window, though a parade planned in Portrush for Saturday evening will push tee times up by approximately 15 minutes.
You can watch Saturday’s third round of the Open Championship on TV via NBC and USA. USA opens the coverage at 5 a.m. ET, followed by NBC at 7 a.m. ET. You can also stream online coverage via Peacock, including Round 3 featured group coverage and a Par-3 Channel.
