The 2025 Masters has finally arrived as a loaded field of golf’s best players will descend upon Augusta National this week to compete in the year’s first major.
World No. 1 and two-time Masters winner Scottie Scheffler enters as the defending champion. Scheffler is fresh off a T2 finish at the Texas Children’s Houston Open. While Scheffler has yet to find the winner’s circle this season, world No. 2 Rory McIlroy has already pulled off wins at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Players Championship. McIlroy is entering Year 11 of his major championship drought, but the four-time major winner arrives at the Masters believing he is now a “more complete” golfer than ever before.
There are 12 players from LIV Golf in the field, led by Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau. At last year’s Masters, DeChambeau was tied for the lead after 36 holes and finished tied for sixth.
Players earn their way into the Masters via 20 different exemption categories, including being in the top 50 in the Official World Golf Rankings, every PGA Tour winner from the past season and every past Masters champion.
Below is a full list of the players in the 2025 Masters field, along with the exemption category they satisfied. There is a list of Masters exemption categories at the bottom of this story.
