The 2025 John Deere Classic continues on Saturday, July 5, with the third round at TPC Deere Run. You can find full John Deere Classic tee times for Saturday’s third round at the bottom of this post.
Doug Ghim compares his approach to swimming. Go as well as you can. Don’t look left. Don’t look right.
“If you spend time looking at the other swimmers,” he said, “you’re not going to swim as fast.”
The thought’s gone, well, swimmingly, as Ghim’s your co-leader through 36 holes at the John Deere. Over the first two rounds, he’s holed out twice on par-4s for eagle. (His first, from 91 yards out, came on the 6th hole during the first round; his second, from 179 yards out, came on the 15th hole during the second round). He’s made just one bogey. Now, he’ll play in the third round’s final grouping, alongside Davis Thompson and Brian Campbell, and they’ll start at 10:55 a.m..
“Yeah, I guess holing out two days in a row is always nice,” Ghim said. “It’s been a couple years since I think I holed out from the fairway. To get two back-to-back days is great.
“Today played tougher, so to hole out was huge. Drove it fairly well all day. Wish I had a couple wedges back and a couple putts back, but at the end of the day, pleased to be near the top, if not in the top, going into the weekend.”
