This weekend at the Genesis Invitational, we have a heavy-weight battle on our hands. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler starts the third round at Torrey Pines one off the lead, after firing a five-under 67 on Friday to reach seven under.

World No. 3 Rory McIlroy, who is looking for his second-straight win, is at five under. Rising star Luvig Aberg is one more shot back at four under.
But they’re all trailing Davis Thompson, who shot a 66 in Round 2 to rocket up the leaderboard and take a one-shot lead.
You can watch the third round of the Genesis Invitational on TV via CBS and Golf Channel. Golf Channel will open the coverage at 1 p.m. ET, before CBS takes over at 3 p.m. ET. PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ will provide exclusive early coverage and featured group streaming coverage starting at 10 a.m ET.

CBS and Golf Channel will provide third-round TV coverage of the 2025 Genesis Invitational. Golf Channel starts the coverage from 1-3 p.m. ET on Saturday, followed by CBS from 3-7 p.m. ET.
You can stream the third round of the 2025 Genesis Invitational via PGA Tour Live on ESPN+, which will offer early general coverage and featured group coverage beginning at 10 a.m. ET.
